Community guidelines
A place to tell the truth about training without putting patients, colleagues or yourself at risk.
Protect patients
- Never post anything that could identify a patient: names, dates, rare conditions, images, room numbers or case details that point to one person.
- No medical advice. This board is about training conditions, not clinical questions.
Protect each other
- Post under a handle. Do not reveal another member's identity, school or program.
- Talk about programs, policies and conditions. Do not name individual people to shame or harass them.
- No threats, slurs or sexual harassment. Messages follow the same rules as posts.
- Block anyone you do not want to hear from. Report anything that breaks these rules.
Keep it factual
- Say what you saw and what you know. Link a source for numbers when you can.
- Facts about pay, hours and rules in your program are welcome. They are what change things.
Stay protected
- Pick a handle that is not your name. Leave out details that would point to you, such as a rare rotation or your exact schedule.
- Post from your own phone or computer on your own network, not a hospital device or hospital Wi-Fi, and not during work time.
- Talk about pay, hours and rules. Those are the topics the law protects. Leave out patient details, threats and anything you know is false. Your rights.
If you are struggling
If you are thinking about suicide or are in crisis, call or text 988, or chat at chat.988lifeline.org. It is free, confidential and open 24/7. Moderators see posts that mention self-harm and will point you to help; they are not counselors.
How moderation works
- A new member's first post waits for a moderator. After one approval, posts go up right away.
- Moderators can hide posts and suspend accounts that break these rules.
